RW Engineering Efforts
RW Engineering Efforts: To extend the life-cycle of legacy systems
Reparar Works team is constantly working on innovative ways to manage end-of-life technologies. The major challenges include lack of support from manufacturers, missing circuit diagrams, hard-to-source spares and more.
We assure to do our best to keep your systems working longer for you… Some of our efforts include maintaining buffer stocks of spares for large scale projects, using our network across the globe to source spares & carry out emergency repairs to keep businesses running.
Component-level services: Re-Drawing Circuit Diagrams
The ability to draw accurate circuit diagrams from physical hardware is not just an essential part of repairs and testing, it can provide you with valuable documentation for your own records, as well as enabling the efficient mass production of PCBs and other electronics as required in future.
Multi-Layer PCB Engineering Support
Reparar Works has partnerships with multiple companies to replace and reproduce damaged and non-repairable multi-layer PCBs. This can help ensure your critical electrical & electronic products will remain serviceable for long.
Component level Engineering Support
To overcome the challenge of supporting systems with proprietary components, which are no longer supported by the original manufacturer. We are developing capabilities in-house to reverse engineer fit-for-purpose replacements.
How this works ?
Enquiry
Businesses or individuals with a faulty piece of equipment, or a faulty component that is part of a larger piece of equipment, should first fill out the repair request form. Detailed information can help us understand your requirement better & turn around things faster.
Assessment
Once we receive all the required details and information from you, our team will review the information to determine whether further assessment at site is needed or we can undertake repair work at site (or the equipment needs a controlled environment facility). This will also help us give you an indication of costs.
In cases of apparent unrepairable damage to the item or if the cost of repair will be relatively higher than replacing it – our team will suggest all options.
Repair Request
If we undertake the repair service, you will get an email from us with a preliminary job code and a link to our repair Terms & Conditions and FAQs. On accepting the Terms & Conditions and making the necessary deposits, you will be assigned with a Ticket number. You can send the equipment to our facility for repairs or an engineer will be assigned to your location for the job.
Inspection
Once we receive the equipment at our facility or after our engineer has reached our location. We will commence testing of your item to determine the fault/s. After isolating the problems to the best of our ability, we will design a repair strategy and put together a quote for the parts and labour involved in executing it. This will be sent to you for your consideration. Please note that quotes may have to be revised as new information comes to light throughout the repairs process. Also, restoring a component of your equipment (ie a PCB) to working order may not necessarily restore your entire system to working order, if case there are other issues or faults in other parts of the system.
Repair Works
Once you accept the quote (if you do not, you will only be liable for the minimum Inspection Fee) out technical team will begin repairs. If you have already paid the deposit, this will be deducted from your final invoice.
You will be kept updated on the status of your equipment throughout the repairs process. If any new faults emerge during this time, we may update the quote and let you know as soon as possible. Once the repair strategy has been fully carried out, we will send you your final invoice. You will be able to collect your item upon payment of the invoice.
