Wind Turbine Gears & Blade Repairs
With the increasing installation of wind turbines, the demand for repairs is expected to witness an increased demand
Services: Repair & Refurbishment
Major Failure: Gearbox ; Type: Bearings / Others ; Deployment: Onshore / Offshore
Gearbox is one of the most critical components of a wind turbine that is prone to cause issues. The costs for gearbox repair and
production losses due to downtime, constitute a large share of the expenses in the operations of a wind power plant.
On an average, one per 145 turbines in operation are estimated to report gearbox failure each year. With operation and maintenance
(O&M) costs representing about a quarter of total-life costs for wind power plants in operation, keeping gearboxes maintained and
working through constant repair activities, remains crucial to the successful and profitable running of any wind power project.
Gearbox Repair
Proper diagnosis helps understanding the precise root cause of failures. Most common causes of gearbox failure are often found to be poorly designed bearings, misalignment of bearing and lubrication issues (in both main bearing to gearbox bearings).
CM (Conditional Monitoring) helps to accurately detect these faults. CM can also help test and measure operating conditions, to identify failures early.
Reparar Works can fix this
In partnership with OEM’s our trained technicians are able to perform CM & corrective activities. With the use of specially designed tools we can perform up tower repairs and help eliminate the use of cranes when possible.
Generator Repair
Reparar Works can help upgrade the brush system, bearings, windings and also in rewinding of wind generators. With the use of latest rigging and jigs to provide up-tower repair on both generators and gearboxes from multiple manufacturers, we help reduce TAT & downtime.
Large Correctives
With the capability to fabricate specialised equipment and tooling in-house, we can easily provide faster & efficient repair services and maintenance to reduce downtim
